How to identify gaps in your keyword strategy vs competitors
List the terms each competitor ranks for, cross them against the terms you rank for, and keep the ones only they have. That's your gap list. A gap that several competitors own is more urgent than a gap only one of them owns, because it means the demand is being met by multiple sites and none of them is you.
Sohocheq runs this comparison for free and ranks the results by how many competitors own each term, so you can see which gaps matter most.
What do I do once I've found the gaps?
Publish one page per gap. The question becomes the page heading. Answer it directly in the first two or three sentences. Include a concrete fact your competitors' pages don't state — a number, a limit, a method. That's what makes your page the one that gets cited.
How often should I re-check?
After you've published new pages. The gap list changes as you fill gaps and as competitors publish. Once a quarter is usually enough unless you're in a fast-moving category.
